The MO KIN-4-KID program serves the entire state of Missouri and provides ongoing problem-solving support, quality information, case management, advocacy, and connection to services for kinship caregivers.
To empower kinship caregivers by strengthening their capacity to help the children in their care thrive. Kinship caregivers including grandparents, relatives, and non-relative loved ones providing a parenting role and safe homes for children when the parents cannot. We work with kinship caregivers to navigate barriers and access resources and supports they need for themselves and the children in their care.

“SuN Bucks” for Kids

Missouri SuN Bucks helps families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer months when school is not in session. Families will get a one-time $120 benefit per qualifying child that can be used to buy nutritious foods at authorized locations around Missouri.
Most eligible children will receive the benefit automatically and do not need to apply; however, households who need to apply can submit the application online by August 31, 2024. Families can use the Missouri SuN Bucks Eligibility Navigator to see if they need to complete an application.
Families with children who meet the criteria will receive an EBT card by mail, or the benefit will be added to their existing EBT card.

STEM Cubs Summer Camp - Mizzou

STEM Cubs is an organization through Mizzou that holds free STEM camps for kids K-8. In these events, kids learn and receive hands on experience with lessons and activities pertaining to STEM. They offer morning and afternoon camp sessions for all ages.

Hexagon Alley

There’s a new option in Columbia this summer for parents looking for fun-filled educational programs for their children ages 6-14 on summer vacation. Hexagon Alley, the board game café that opened downtown last year, will host its version of “summer camp” from June through August. The curriculum strategically uses board games that build upon the neurodevelopmental functions of the brain and encourage the use of critical thinking, inference skills, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

M.A.R.C.H. Inc. (Mediation Achieving Results for Children)

M.A.R.C.H. Inc. (Mediation Achieving Results for Children) is a state-wide nonprofit (501c3) that provides free supervised visitation, mediation and legal services to eligible families in Missouri. Our goal is to help families resolve disputes surrounding the needs of their children. When parties aren't eligible for free mediation, M.A.R.C.H. can still provide in-person, phone, or virtual mediation at a cost of $200 an hour per parent (2 hour minimum).
Eligible families in Missouri can receive up to four hours of free mediation per year. Families that are eligible for free mediation are also eligible for free legal services to assist with court document filing, and supervised visitation services.
