KU Technology Education Program

The Technology Education Program is for women who have been recently released from jail or prison. The program teaches computer skills that are important for job participation and career advancement such as Microsoft office, personal branding, and website creation and management. The program is free to participate in and in order to qualify participants must:
Identify as female
Be 18 years of age or older
Have served time in jail or prison
Live in Kansas or Missouri or served time in a Kansas or Missouri jail or prison

Research shows that over 80% of people with Autism and 90% of people with Down syndrome never experience this thrill. Defying these odds is why we exist!

(Career Awareness Related Experience) programs along with the CoMo Bike Co-op are located in the Armory. When not in program use, the gymnasium and other rooms are available for public rental.

MU Physical Therapy Dept/Tiger Acacemy of Gymnastics
Adapted Gymnastics is a program coordinated between MU Physical Therapy and Tiger Academy of Gymnastics. With the help of PT and other Health Professions students, children ages 3-18 with various impairments are able to safely participate in modified gymnastics, gross motor and socialization activities based on each child’s individual needs. Adapted Gymnastics typically meets 10 sessions each fall and spring semester on Sundays from 3-5:30pm.

MACC/Job Point Hi Set Program

By taking the HiSET®, you can earn a state-issued high school equivalency credential allowing you to advance your career, join the military, begin a training program or continue your education.
There are two testing centers here in Columbia.
MACC - offers both testing and preparation classes. The contact for HISET advocacy is Kaitlyn. The approximate cost for taking all 5 sections of the test is $120.00 total. If a retest is necessary, the cost is $7/section. Three attempts are allowed per year. To register for free preparation classes go to https://www.macc.edu/ael/. To register for HiSET testing go to Hiset.org (create account) Choose Moberly Area Community College as testing Center.
Douglass High School at 310 N Providence Rd, Phone 573- 214-3680 also offers testing. They can make special arrangements/accommodations for the clients who need assistance in taking the tests.
