The Medical Assistant Certificate program will prepare students with the general medical, administrative, and clinical knowledge, skills and behaviors required to work in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will have a sound understanding of the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) scope of practice to function in the outpatient or ambulatory care environment that requires multi-tasking, organization, and a focus on detail.

The Comprehensive Medical Assistant Program consists of 488 clock hours. This certificate-level program is full-time. An externship of 160 hours is required to complete the program.
