City of Refuge’s Career Empowerment services are designed to support refugees as they pursue meaningful, long-term employment and professional growth. Through personalized guidance, participants receive help with setting career goals, transferring prior education and work experience to their new home, building resumes, preparing for interviews, and navigating the U.S. workplace. Our approach goes beyond immediate job placement by focusing on skill development, career advancement, and access to education or training opportunities.

At Connections, we offer a holistic network of services designed to support individuals and families living in poverty on their journey to economic self-sufficiency. Central to our approach is lifelong mentoring, which serves as the foundation for building trust, accountability, and long-term success. Our comprehensive model integrates evidence-based practices that address all aspects of a person's life—including employment, education, housing, health, and personal development.
We have an online referral form for partners to complete with potential participants - Referral. Once we receive the referral, our Training Facilitator reaches out to discuss upcoming classes and ensure we are the best fit for their needs.

SkillUP
