NAMI Columbia is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mental health conditions and their families in the Columbia, MO area. NAMI Columbia provides in-person NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups and NAMI Family Support Groups. NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups are free, peer-led support groups for adults who have experienced symptoms of a mental health condition.
In-person support groups do not require advanced registration, but we recommend you contact namicolumbiamo@gmail.com to confirm the group is still meeting.

- A holistic focus on individual families who desire to overcome their barriers and improve stability.
- The overarching goal is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
- Focused on long-term transformational change (rather than transactional services).

- Family with school-aged children in the home.
- Must be willing and ready to make a change in their lives.

Salvation Army Learning Center

The Learning Center is a hub for resources and a place for people seeking employment and other life improvement skills. The Center features laptop and printers; classes range from personal budgeting to office skills; and incentives are provided to make learning even more valuable, such as clothing vouchers for work outfits.
The Learning Center is open Mon-Fri, 9am-12pm and 1-4pm. Classes begin May 27 and are offered at various times during the week. Registration is requested by calling The Salvation Army at 573-442-3229. Name, phone number, and class are needed; leaving a message is fine.
