Child Trauma Initiative (CTI) provides trauma informed, evidence based interventions for children age 0 - 18 & their families who have experienced a traumatic event or loss of a loved one such as Sudden death of a loved one, Exposure to violence, Neglect, or Abuse.

CTI’s Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Treatments Includes but is not limited to:

Child-Parent Psychotherapy

  • The gold standard trauma therapy for children 0 - 6 years old & their families. Sessions include the child & primary caregiver. CPP decreases child trauma symptoms, strengthens the caregiver-child attachment, & supports healthy development.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • The gold standard trauma therapy for children 3 - 18 years old. TF-CBT includes individual & family sessions. TF-CBT decreases child trauma symptoms & problem behaviors & helps the caregiver support the child.

Trauma & Grief Component Therapy

  • TGCT helps children 12 - 18 years old with grief & prolonged bereavement as well as trauma. TGCT can be provided in groups as well as in individual sessions.
