Provides free legal services to low-income people in civil law cases involving orders of protection, family law, guardianships, consumer cases including debts, bankruptcies and foreclosures, housing law, employment issues, expungements and public benefits.

Applying for Services:
Applicants for services must complete an over-the-phone application to determine eligibility and whether the case is one MMLS will accept.
Applications are completed Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Applicants should contact MMLS at 573-442-0116 or 573-634-4545 or 800-568-4931 to speak to a staff person regarding their legal issue.
The phone application takes about 15 minutes to complete, but may take longer for complicated legal matters.
