Social Change Works is a grassroots not-for-profit located in Columbia, Missouri who supplies critical needs to our unhoused neighbors. These critical needs may seem trivial to most of us, but to a person living a marginal life, they are truly important. The needs supplied by Social Change Works are aid obtaining identification documents, phones and phone service, work clothes, and other necessities to help those hoping to transition out of homelessness.

People who are homeless can register to vote. Need to complete the form as completely and accurately as possible, but application should be submitted even if unable to provide all info. County Clerk’s office will make eligibility determination. Street address can be location or “homeless”. Mailing address needs to be a valid address to receive mail.

CoMo Mobile Aid Collective offers a mobile soup kitchen on Mondays and Wednesdays (and Fridays in winter) that serves lunch along designated routes. These routes cover all major areas where folks on the street may be including Stadium Blvd, Providence, Rangeline and at the Turning Point Day Center at 11:30 on meal days. Additionally, CoMo Mobile Aid offers a twice-weekly pop-up medical clinic during dinner service at Loaves & Fishes at the Ashley Street Center. At this clinic guests can receive hygiene and first aid items, socks, underwear, showers, and speak with a licensed medical professional all for FREE from 4:30p - 5:30p on Mondays and Thursdays.

Voluntary Action Center is a local non profit responding to the basic needs of the individuals within our community. VAC services and eligibility flyer
- Household: Must be a Boone County Resident.
- Income: Gross monthly income for everyone living at the Address must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Information includes: employment income, unemployment, SNAP/food stamp benefits, TANF, child support, VA benefits, Social Security income.

This resource guide covers CMCA's 8 county service area: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage. It also covers the three additional counties we provide Head Start for: Benton, Hickory, and Morgan. Finger Lakes State Park is a recreation park with emphasis on ORV trails and motorless watercraft trails. You can buy ORV passes or rent watercrafts at main office. The campground has sites for with 30amp or 50amp hookups (16) as well as basic tent sites (19). Firewood and ice are available year around from office. There is a 14-day stay limit to all sites.

Our global community of Lasagna Love volunteers prepare lasagnas each week and deliver them free of charge and contact-free to the doorstep of local families who have requested a meal. The Hogan House food pantry is open every Sunday, 1–3 pm. People can come during this time and shop (all food is free). It’s preferred that they bring their own boxes or bags. If it is their first time, they will need to fill out some paperwork as we are under the mid Missouri Central food pantry. Each initial visit they will need to check-in but not fill out any more forms. People are able to come every Sunday!
