The Salvation Army, Harbor House, provides shelter, warm meals, showers, laundry, life skills classes, and case management for those who have fallen on hard times, and for those who struggle with chronic homelessness.
Intake is 8:00-10:00 a.m. and on a fisrt-come basis. Intakes available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, except holidays. Call the afternoon before to see if there's any available openings next morning.
Lunch served for the public every day from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Flourish provides a safe and healthy home environment, supportive relationships, and development opportunities for students at Douglas High School.
Flourish Youth Home is completing remodeling to add additional units for youth 16-21. Beds are expected to be available beginning December 1st. In2Action, a certified Missouri Department of Mental Health outpatient substance use treatment program, specializes in aiding individuals who are currently justice-involved meaning they are presently on probation or parole and have a historical substance use disorder. This criterion is essential for acceptance into the program.

Welcome Home provides 32 transitional housing rooms, with 34 beds, for homeless Veterans and families, including a separate corridor for female Veterans.
Their Rapid Rehousing Program includes intensive case management, financial planning, and connection to VA benefits and services and more.
The Welcome Home’s Veteran Employment Services Provides job readiness training, including resume and interview prep. Help is also provided to secure training opportunities and job placement assistance.
