Courage2Report

Content updated Oct. 12, 2026

Courage2Report is Missouri's confidential way to report concerns about student or school safety. It began in October 2001 as the Missouri School Violence Hotline and was renamed Courage2Report in 2019 as part of the Missouri School Safety Initiative.

The service is operated around the clock by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), a division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and serves Missouri's public and private K–12 schools. Its purpose is to make schools safer by helping school districts and law enforcement learn about threats to student and school safety as early as possible.

What should be reported?
Report any concern for student or school safety — whether it is happening now, being planned, or something you have only heard about. Anyone with a concern can make a report — students, parents, school staff, and concerned community members. You do not have to give your name; reports can be made anonymously.

Reports may involve incidents on school property, at a school event, or on a school bus.

How to make a report
Online: Use the Courage2Report form — the fastest way to include details, people, vehicles, and attachment - https://www.courage2reportmo.com/c2r/submit/courage-2-report

By phone: Call the 24/7 hotline at 1-866-748-7047.
