The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) division provides income-based nutrition services to pregnant women, new mothers, babies, and children up to their 5th birthday. The WIC staff helps families eat well and stay healthy.

La Leche League

The La Leche League of Columbia, MO is no longer holding monthly meetings but remains active as a nonprofit offering breastfeeding support through other means. According to a September 2024 update from the group’s volunteer leaders, LLL of Columbia has ended its monthly in‑person and online meetings. The group will now focus on partnering with other organizations to meet breastfeeding families where they are, rather than running regular group meetings.

Breastfeeding support: The LLL of Columbia continues to provide mother‑to‑mother guidance, information, and encouragement for breastfeeding parents.
Hotline & communication: Leaders remain available via their official Facebook page and hotline for questions or support.
Community connections: They may collaborate with local agencies, libraries, or other breastfeeding support networks.
