Columbia Public School Counseling Program
Content update Oct 2, 2024
The K-12 Columbia Public Schools Comprehensive School Counseling Program is designed to address the needs of all students by helping them acquire competencies that promote social, emotional, and academic development, as well as skills for career readiness.
School counseling services are offered at each school and include classroom curriculum lessons, individual and group counseling, consultation, and referrals to support student mental health and address problems that interfere with a student's educational progress. Students facing issues that do not impact the school environment or significant issues beyond what can be addressed in the school setting are referred to outside providers for more intensive support.
Contact your child's school and ask for the school counselor to access school counseling services.
