The Salvation Army offers a range of services including: a thrift store, shelter, clothing vouchers, case management services, Missouri ID and birth certificates assistance, and more.

Services available:

  • Harbor House - shelter for men, women, and families

    • Intakes at 8am. First come first serve.

    • Call the afternoon before the intake to check for available openings

    • Max of 90 days

  • Case management for individuals and families (range of support, depending on goals)

  • Pathway of Hope - program for families not already being served through other programs/agencies.

    • job training, health services, childcare and education, housing options, legal services, moving families from crises and vulnerability to stability and eventually self-sufficiency

  • Baby Pantry - for families with children 1 to 3 years old. Available every fourth Thursday of the month from 1:30 to 3:30.

    • Exceptions: third Thursday in November; not offered in December

    • ID required and proof of guardianship, or birth certificate

  • Walk in Wednesday for those needing help with birth certificate or ID. 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday only

  • Rent and utility assistance - when available*, limited to one time per year per household

  • Clothing vouchers - free clothes from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Must bring current picture ID, SS card per person, proof of income & address. Emergency coat vouchers during normal business hours & by appointment.

  • Toys for Tots - annual Christmas program

*As of 8/21/24, funds are exhausted for utility assistance and most rental assistance programs.
