Single Family Housing Direct Home Loans

Program assists low- and very-low-income applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant’s repayment ability. Payment assistance is a type of subsidy that reduces the mortgage payment for a short time. The amount of assistance is determined by the adjusted family income.

The CCLT is a non-profit corporation formed by the City of Columbia with the primary duties of creating and stewarding permanently affordable housing. The widening gap between housing costs and household median income makes home ownership increasingly less affordable. The CCLT is working to address this by creating additional home-ownership opportunities for lower income Columbia households and permanently protecting these investments for future generations.

The purpose of the Homeownership Assistance Program is to make homeownership more affordable for low-to-moderate income households through down payment and/or closing cost assistance to qualified households purchasing a home within the City Limits of Columbia. Applications will only be considered when qualified buyers with properties are under contract. Applicants must be “first time home buyers” who meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income guidelines.

The Missouri Property Tax Credit Claim is a program that allows some senior citizen and all disabled individuals who have paid personal property tax through home ownership or rent to apply for credit based on the amount they payed toward that tax.
