High School Equivalency & High School Diploma
The HiSET ® test is a high school equivalency test that measures the academic knowledge relative to that of a high school graduate. The exam covers five areas: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
The HiSET is available to Missouri residents at least 16 years old and out of high school. Missouri does not have any test preparation or instruction requirements to take the initial test. However, they do encourage instruction before retesting. You must present identification on test day at the HiSET test center. Outdated or expired identification will not be accepted.
Register online by creating an account, scheduling test dates, and paying testing fees with credit or debit card. When scheduling the test, sign up for two or three test dates as it is recommended that no more than 3 of the tests are taken at one sitting. The cost is $95.00 for the five sections regardless of how many days it takes to complete it. You may retest within 12 months for $7 per subject. All testing is done on the computer.
