We work with organizations to provide a care pack of grief activities and books for children and teens who are grieving the death of parent, sibling, or other significant caregiver. Downloadable materials are available free to individuals on our website.

This is a grief support group. It is a processing group that meets every Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 PM. Anyone who experiences grief due to the death of someone in their life and who would like support from others who have similar experiences.

The Connection has a focus helping those who grieve. A special focus is with those who have children (of any age) who have passed away. And, a focus with those who have had a spouse pass away.
In addition, The Connection has a special focus of providing Mental Health Life Coaching.
The Connection also provides a separate professional mediation (conflict resolution) program .

GriefShare is a 12-week support group that uses a curriculum developed by Church Initiative, a non-profit organization that specializes in equipping churches to minister to those in pain and grief. GriefShare uses a Christ-centered approach specifically designed to help those who have lost a loved one to death cope with the loss and find healing and peace.

The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.

The IBHC is open every Thursday from 12pm-9pm, with the last session of the day starting at 8pm. We are a student run clinic, with Graduate level students from the Mizzou School of Social Work and Counseling Psychology Program. Student clinicians work under the supervision of licensed clinical social workers. Student clinicians are with the IBHC for 6 months to 1 year before the client is transitioned to another clinician. Every 6 months, the clinic takes a month break between school semesters. Our services are free of cost.
The IBHC provides services including:
- Comprehensive needs assessment
- Risk assessment screenings
- Brief and long-term therapy (e.g., motivational interviewing; cognitive behavioral therapy; cognitive processing therapy; solution focused therapy)
- Couples therapy
