STORY: I remember the first time I drove.  It was on my Grandpa’s farm in southern Boone County in the early 60’s.  Grandpa and I were in the fields and needed the truck brought out to where he was working.  I walked back to the house and got into the early 50’s Chevy pickup.  I had never driven it before as my feet would barely reach the pedals.  I started it up and put it in first gear.  The clutch came out and the engine did not stall.  I was on my way.  As I crossed the field I got brave and shifted from first to second.  I was really moving now.  I will always remember that truck.  Now, as I approach retirement, I keep telling my wife I need a truck.  All my friends have trucks.  Suddenly, I had the opportunity to buy this Classic 1954 Chevy Pickup.  It reminds me so much of the first truck I drove.  It’s a real classic. I love my truck.
