Free Tax Filing Help

Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is offered at Love Columbia every Friday from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm, beginning February 14, 2025, through April 11, 2025, by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

University of Missouri students in the department of Personal Financial Planning are trained and IRS-certified to provide this free service to individuals in the Columbia community, primarily for people with low to moderate incomes, those with disabilities, the elderly and English-as-a-second-language taxpayers.

Starting Jan. 22, 2025, VITA services will be provided at the MU Family Impact Center on a walk-in/first come first served basis at the following dates and times:
Mondays 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Wednesdays 4 p.m.–8 p.m.
No services March 22-30 due to Spring Break
