No gift is too large or small to help our neighbors in need! Your contribution of household essentials, furniture, and even a car or a home will make a difference in someone’s life.
Daily Essentials
Love Columbia works with clients in a variety of situations. To support our clients with daily essentials, consider donating items from the following list or purchasing from our Amazon wishlist:
Laundry Detergent/supplies
Cleaning Supplies – Dish soap, household cleaners, hand soap, etc.
Paper Products – Toilet Paper, paper towels
Grocery store gift cards – Wal-mart, Aldi, Hyvee, Gerbes, etc.
Diapers – all sizes
Hygiene supplies – full-size, new shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.
Though every bottle of shampoo and roll of toilet paper is helpful, your church, civic group, or business can make a bigger difference by holding a personal hygiene drive.
Furniture and Household Items
Larger items such as furniture and household necessities are needed at our Furniture Bank. Families moving into a permanent home often need:
Living room furniture
Bedroom furniture (beds and dressers)
Dining room tables and chairs.
Gently used clothing
Visit the Love Seat or call 573-303-6198 to schedule a donation for drop off or pick up.
Cars
Your old car served you well for years – how about one more memory before you part with her? When you donate your car to Love Columbia, someone will have a safer, easier way to get to work, pick up their children from school, and get to church. You can deduct the appraised value of the car and we’ll provide a tax receipt and steer you to other forms you’ll need.

Homes
Transitional housing is a proven model for moving families from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Love Columbia currently oversees seven Transitional Homes and would love to add more! If you have a home you would like to donate or could provide free, long-term rental space, contact us at office@lovecolumbia.org.
