Financial Assistance
The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a program designed to provide adults with the education and skills needed to enter the workforce in fields that are in high demand. Fast Track serves both students and apprentices by providing grants to assist with coursework tuition and general fees or direct costs of an apprenticeship such as tools, books and uniforms. Students must be enrolled in a designated program of study at a participating Missouri school. Apprentices must be participating in an apprenticeship in Missouri that is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and that prepares them for employment in a high demand field as designed by the department.
Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant
Grants are financial awards based on financial need that do not need to be paid back. The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development administers a number of state grants and scholarships (see below). To be eligible students should have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file by Feb. 1, but no later than April 1. Eligible students who apply between Feb. 1 and April 1 will be awarded state financial aid based on funding availability. The grants below will be administered by the college you plan to attend through completion of the FAFSA.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)Assistance
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) covers a variety of training programs, including vocational training, on-the-job training, and apprenticeships, designed to enhance your skills and employability. To qualify for assistance through WIOA, individuals must meet specific criteria. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Additionally, eligibility is determined based on income and other factors such as homelessness or receiving government assistance like Food Stamps, TANF, or Supplemental Social Security. Household income must not exceed the specified annual limits, which vary based on family size.
Financing for gaining the skills needed to work as a barber, beautician, or nail technician with certification/licensure in the state of Missouri. Students aged 16-24 who have at least 16 high school credits can train at LUXX Beauty and Barber Institute.
