Apprenticeship& Internships

QuesTec

Our apprentice program, established in 1999, equips our field staff with knowledge and performance skills to excel in their craft. This training empowers each individual to become an expert in their field, assuring that their work is far and beyond industry standards.

During class, our apprentices get the unique opportunity to learn from our certified instructors. These instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience into the classroom having been trained through the same program. Trainees engage in the learning process through traditional lesson plans, hands on performance modules, innovative testing, and daily application on the job sites.

Emery Sapp and Sons Internship Program

Here at ESS, we see Internships as opportunities to do real work and make an impact. You’ll get the chance to jump right in on day one and contribute to work that matters! No two people are the same and our internships reflect that. We tailor each program to give you a variety of experiences. Mentors will help you find your unique path in civil construction through training and direct experience.

Missouri Rural Water Association

Apprenticeship is a system in which workers train on the job – earning wages and doing productive work – while simultaneously taking courses. When someone completes an apprenticeship, they’ll have valuable work experience and a recognized industry credential, along with state certification that allows them to continue in the field and over time, advances their career.

Missouri apprenticeships generally last two years. Apprentices must be at least 18 years of age, work full-time at a local water or wastewater system, and must be paid at least minimum wage. As the apprentice advances through the program, his/her wages increase according to a predetermined schedule agreed upon between employer and apprentice.
