Bike to the Future
Providing transportation to help those in need
Updated Nov. 2023 - Bike to the Future will start accepting bike vouchers again
Bike to the Future (B2F) provides bicycles to adults who have no means of transportation other than walking or using public means. B2F is volunteer driven, accepting bicycles donated from the general public or institutions. Bicycles are overhauled by volunteer staff and then the client is provided an appropriately sized bicycle with a helmet, if desired, a bike lock and front and back warning lights. We are an interdenominational mission, closely associated with Love Columbia and Community United Methodist Church, dedicated to providing transportation to persons in need. Bicycles are distributed to clients of the various social service agencies in the Columbia, MO area, including Love Columbia, The Reentry Opportunity Center, Welcome Home, Burrell Health Systems, and many others. Clients must agree that the bicycle be used for travelling to work, errands such as grocery shopping, travelling to job interviews, etc. Bicycles are not given to people wanting one for recreational purposes. For more information, contact the Love Columbia office at 573-256-7662.
If you are in need of a bike, leave a voicemail with the Love Columbia office during the public phone hours:
