Men’s House

St. Francis House is a Men's shelter which provides lodging, breakfast, a light dinner, and other basic needs to those without housing.

Dinner Served at 8PM except Thursdays it's 7PM.
Breakfast served at 7AM.

The house is open during the evening hours to people who live on the street, the near-homeless, food-insecure people, or anyone who wants to visit and get to know them better.

  • A place to relax out of the elements and enjoy community.

  • Breakfast and a light supper on a daily basis to homeless and home insecure persons in Columbia.

  • Showers

  • Laundry facilities

  • Clothing, Food Boxes and Hospitality for persons in need when donations are available.

  • A telephone is available for guests to make local calls

  • Residents are not charged, but they are expected to make some contribution if their stay is extended (extensions are based on need)

  • The house is not set up for pre-arranged home plans but will accept ex-offenders who arrive in the community if there is space and the individual is willing to respect house rules.

  • No police clearance needed. Need to be clean and sober. Cannot accept sex-offenders due to proximity to a school

Length of stay at the men’s house depends on individual need: some chronically mentally ill men have been with us for years; men simply “down on their luck” usually stay from a few days to a few weeks.
