Services:

• Surgeries to spay or neuter cats, dogs and rabbits. Call to schedule. Payment due at the time of scheduling

• Walk-in Vaccine Clinic for Rabies, Parvo, Distemper, Kennel Cough, and Feline Booster. Call or check website for days and hours of walk-in clinic.

• Pet Food Assistance for families facing economic hardship.

  • Must be a resident of Boone County

  • Must have valid driver’s license of other legal form of ID.

  • Must have proof of low-income status (food stamps, payroll stub, social security card).

  • Must have proof that animals have been spayed or neutered.

  • Must not have more than four pets.

  • Must not acquire any new pets from the shelter or other sources while receiving aid.

  • Must re-apply in person at the shelter every 6 months to continue receiving pet food.

Animal Take-in Hours: Mon- Sat, 12 PM – 6 PM by appointment.

To relinquish a pet there is a $20 fee for the first pet and $10 for additional pets.

Please bring your pets health record, your driver’s license, and proof of Boone county residence.
