Using the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED™) approved curriculum and a team of certified instructors from Boone County Joint Communications, MACC prepares students to obtain their certification as an Emergency Telecommunicator (ETC).

Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) care for the sick or injured in emergency medical settings. People’s lives often depend on the quick reaction and competent care provided by these workers. EMTs respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities. The course is 7 hours per week for 16 weeks.

Phlebotomists are allied health professionals who draw blood from patients or blood donors for medical testing. MACC’s Phlebotomy Certification Course is one of only a few training opportunities in the state of Missouri that prepares students for the ASCP examination.
This fast-track training will prepare you for a career as a CNA in as few as eight weeks. Training includes hands-on experiences that start the first week of classes. Our individualized attention will inspire self-confidence. Certification tests and exams are included. Liability insurance coverage is included for each student for up to one year.
Moberly Area Community College offers Certified Nursing Assistant training. The Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares individuals for employment in a long-term care facility, as well as work for home health care agencies, hospitals, doctor’s offices, private pay services, and many other employers.
The Practical Nursing Program is offered at three locations: the Moberly campus; the Mexico campus; and the Columbia Area Career Center in Columbia, MO. This 12-month/1 year certificate program in Practical Nursing (PN) provides a combination of subject matter and clinical experiences to prepare the student to work in a variety of structured health care environments.
Moberly Area Community College offers Certified Medication Technician training. The CMT program prepares individuals for employment in an intermediate care or skilled care nursing facility. The program is designed to teach skills in administration of non-parenteral medications that will qualify students to perform this procedure to assist licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses in medication therapy.
The Clinical Medical Assistant program consists of 240 clock hours of lecture and lab classes. A two-week externship is required to complete the program successfully. This certificate-level program is completed in 20 weeks total The CCMA program provides students with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to enter the healthcare field as a Clinical Medical Assistant.

The Medical Assistant Certificate program will prepare students with the general medical, administrative, and clinical knowledge, skills and behaviors required to work in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will have a sound understanding of the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) scope of practice to function in the outpatient or ambulatory care environment that requires multi-tasking, organization, and a focus on detail.

The Comprehensive Medical Assistant Program consists of 488 clock hours. This certificate-level program is full-time. An externship of 160 hours is required to complete the program. The Comprehensive Medical Assistant program provides students with advanced knowledge in both administrative and clinical aspects of medical assisting.
The CHD Program of Dental Assisting is a ten-week program that meets on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The course offers 50 hours of classroom and clinical instruction from a doctor of dental surgery and expanded functions dental assistants. It is the objective of Cherry Hill Dental Program of Dental Assisting to educate students in order to provide them with comprehensive knowledge and competence in the professional field of dental assisting.
