Moberly Area Community College offers Certified Medication Technician training. The CMT program prepares individuals for employment in an intermediate care or skilled care nursing facility. The program is designed to teach skills in administration of non-parenteral medications that will qualify students to perform this procedure to assist licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses in medication therapy. The program cost is $700 per person and consists of 60 hours of classroom instruction and 8-hours of supervised clinical practice in a long-term care facility. Classroom training can be completed in 12 weeks.

Prerequisite: must be a Certified Nurse Assistant for at least 6 months prior to enrollment.
