The Columbia Farmers Market provide a place for direct exchange of high quality and safe food between the local farmer and consumers.  They offer a matching program for recipients of SNAP or WIC, kids activities and gardening workshops.

Early Summer-Early Fall 4-7pm

SNAP Matching Programs Anyone receiving SNAP benefits can come to the Columbia Farmers Market and receive a match of up to $25 in market tokens at every market to buy fresh fruits and vegetables through the Double Up Food Bucks program. This Program ends Oct. 31, 2024.

Households receiving WIC or SNAP benefits may qualify for the Access to Healthy Food program. WIC, SNAP, S-FMNP, and WIC-FMNP recipients that live in Boone County and 1) have children under 19 in the home, 2) are disabled, OR 3) are 60+ are eligible with enrollment. Bring your EBT or WIC card to the Oasis booth at the Columbia Farmers Market to enroll and receive an Access to Healthy Food participation card. Swipe your EBT card, or provide a cash or credit card for WIC*, and match up to $35 in market tokens at each market, which can be spent on SNAP eligible items. SNAP recipients can combine the Access to Healthy Food and Double Up Food Bucks programs to match up to $60 in market tokens at each market!

*Missouri Farmers Markets are not allowed to directly accept WIC benefits. Cash or card must be provided for the WIC match.

Kids Activities - Kids of all ages are welcome to join the Good Food Detectives club! Stop by the Oasis booth to sign up, receive your activity booklet, and earn Munch Money to spend at the market. Kids earn $2 in Munch Money for each activity completed and can spend it on fruits, vegetables, nuts, and honey!

Our partners at Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture host a variety of free, drop-in activities about science, art, cooking, and nutrition for kids every Saturday at the One Room Schoolhouse in the Agriculture Park.
