We serve children facing adversity between 5 and 18 years of age that live in Boone, Audrain and Randolph counties. BBBSCMO operates on a model of long-term one-on-one mentoring. National research has shown that positive relationships between youth and their Big Brothers or Sisters have a measurable impact on children’s lives—namely, they are significantly more confident in their schoolwork performance, are able to get along better with their families, and are less likely to skip school or use drugs and alcohol.
