If your Total Household Income is at or under 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, you may qualify that with this method.

Step 2: Choose a provider List of Providers

Step 3: Enroll either by phone or on the company’s website. It’s probably best to enroll online if you can, so you won’t have to spend time waiting for an available operator. Enrolling online most often allows you to easily upload any documentation they might require. If you qualify via the government program participation method be sure to select that method as participation is a breeze. If you qualify by your income level it requires more documentation to gather up and send.

Step 4: Once enrolled, wait for your phone to arrive in the mail.  Times vary quite a bit between the different Lifeline cell phone companies, from a week to several weeks. Please be patient.
