This resource guide covers CMCA's 8 county service area: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage. It also covers the three additional counties we provide Head Start for: Benton, Hickory, and Morgan. It's a comprehensive guide that includes any and all resources available to help lower income individuals and families in need. The resources and information listed in the guide have been compiled by other groups and agencies in our 8 county service area over the years, and most notably in Boone County by the Voluntary Action Center.
Crime Victims’ Compensation Program

The Crime Victims' Compensation Program provides financial assistance to people who sustained traumatic injuries resulting from certain violent crimes. We know that injuries can be more than just physical. The CVC Program can cover traumas to emotional and mental health well-being too.

Boone County Community Against Violence - (BCCAV)

Advocates for crime victims in our community. They offer needs assessment and will advocate and guide you through community resources including assistance with victim compensation, collaboration with partners for mental, physical, and educational needs, assistance with transportation, advocacy and support through legal processes, and support groups.

Show Me Hope Missouri

Show-Me Hope is Missouri’s crisis counseling program (CCP) in response to a disaster or critical event. Counselors are based in the local community to teach coping and stress management skills to anyone dealing with the anxiety and uncertainty caused by the event. The CCP helps individuals and communities recover from natural and human-caused disasters through community outreach and access to resources including mental health services.
